This is an example of a scarce WWII German K98 rifle that was manufactured by the Erfurt Arsenal. The top of the receiver ring is marked "27 / 1940", the right side with two "eagle/280" proofs and the left side with an eagle proof and the serial number 9808 The left side wall is marked "Mod. 98.". The left rear of the barrel is marked with an eagle proof and the matching serial number. Inverted "V" front ramp sight and rear tangent sight graduated to 2000 meters. Mounted with a nice blonde walnut stock and handguard, Complete with Cleaning Rod. Multiple Waffenamt Markings, and appears in Very Clean Condition.
