Up Next We Have a Nice example of a mid WWII German 98K rifle manufactured by the Mauser Werke in Oberndorf. The receiver ring is marked with the "eagle/135" acceptance proof over "byf/ 44". the left side the receiver side wall is stamped "Mod.98" in small block letters. It has the earlier style all milled components: barrel bands, trigger guard and floor plate. It has the correct mid-war style bolt with a rib on the side. It is fitted with a correct laminated stock. It is fitted with a cupped steel buttplate. The barrel has the standard fixed front sight with the military tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters. It is complete with an original WWII leather sling and cleaning rod.
