Up Next We Have a Remington Military Model 4-S Rolling Block Chambered in .22, Remington’s Rolling Block large frame military arms were in service from 1867 to 1918, spanning the American Civil War and World War One. The robust single shot rifles are known for inherent accuracy and strength beyond the call of duty. The rifles were so successful that smaller framed variants were produced for sporting purposes. This a Military Model which is built on the No. 4 frame. It was originally called the Boy Scout but the company thought it belittled the gun so they changed the name to Military Model. This opened the door for sales to Military Academies who would use it for training and target shooting. This one has survived well, it has some wear but it is pretty typical of .22s like this. We don’t see these very often and this will be a nice addition to your collection.
