Up for auction is a Remington Model 24 Takedown Auto Loading Rifle in .22 LR caliber. Browning semi-auto design. This rifle features a 19 inch round barrel, walnut plain pistol grip stock, bottom ejection, tube magazine through buttstock, screw off barrel. Approximately 131,000 manufactured 1922-35. Top of barrel reads, “REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, INC., SUCCESSOR TO THE REMINGTON ARMS U.M.C.CO.,INC.REMINGTON ILION WKS. ILION N.Y. U.S.A., BROWNING’S PATENT OCT, 24, 1916”. On left side of barrel it reads, “22 Long RIFLE ONLY SMOKELESS-GREASED”. Serial # 95592, a Couple Hairlines at wrist.
