Gun Collectors Dream Auction 63 Day One
Lot 39:
Up Next we have a Cool Czech VZ-52 Semi Auto Rifle Chambered in 7.62X45, Comes with 1 Factory Magazine, Folding Bayonet. This Rifle is Marked AYM, and was produced at Stroknice in Slovakia. This was mainly a ammunition plant and not set up for producing guns. They were not able to produce very many rifles so the production was sent to Uhersky Brod where the SHE marked rifles were made. Uhersky Brod made 153,485 VZ52 rifles from 1953 to September of 1957. I don’t have the production number for the Stroknice plant but the AYM was produced only in 1952 and they didn’t meet their expected production numbers. Overall Appears in Good Condition. The sights consist of a front blade and a v-notched rear tangent. The rear sight is adjustable for between 100 m and 1000 m, in 100 m increments. The bayonet is knife-shaped and built into the weapon itself, and folds laterally into a groove in the side of the foregrip when not in use. Unlike the bayonet on the SKS, it is easily removed for maintenance.
