Up Next We Have a U.S. Property Marked Remington Rand M1911 A1 U.S. Army Semi Auto Pistol Chambered in 7.62 Tokarev! , Arsenal Rebuild, GHD Colt Marked Frame, Serial # 1731463 Dates to 1945. Overall Appears in Excellent Wartime Condition. It is my understanding that the conversion was done by the Chinese. When the Communists took over China at the end of WW II, they "inherited" a lot of US equipment that the Republicans could not take to Taiwan, including pistols. When they ran out of .45 ammo, they worked out a conversion to 7.62×25 so they could use the same ammo as their Mausers and Tokarevs. There are not a lot of them.
