This is an example of a scarce pre WWII German K98 rifle that was manufactured by the Erfurt Arsenal. The top of the receiver ring is marked "S/27 / 1936", the right side with three "eagle/290" proofs and the left side with an eagle proof and the serial number 8931a The left side wall is marked "Mod. 98.". The left rear of the barrel is marked with an eagle proof and the matching serial number. The right side of the barrel directly behind the handguard is marked with three eagle proofs. Inverted "V" front ramp sight and rear tangent sight graduated to 2000 meters. Mounted with a walnut stock and handguard, Complete with a leather sling.
