German WWII M38 Luftschutz Air Defense Gladiator Helmet- M1938 Beaded Luftschutz Gladiator German helmet. The exterior of this German helmet has dark blue paint. The Luftschutz decal is clean and 95% complete but has some scuffs on the front side. The inner skirt is maker marked RL2 38/28. In addition there is a paint stamp that reads: On the Interior of the Helmet is stamped: H?chstpreis RM 8. (FIRST LINE IS MISSING on Helmet) Vertrieb genehmigt gem?? ? 8 Luftschutzgesetz Kopfweite 56 This stamp appears to be a distribution stamp, which translates to: "Highest Price 8 Reichsmark. Distribution approved according to Section 8 Air protection legislation. Head Width 56. ." M1938 Beaded Luftschutz Gladiator German helmet. The exterior of this German helmet retains about 95% of the original dark blue paint. The helmet retains the original split pin rivets. The Luftschutz decal is clean and 95% complete but has some scuffs on the front side.
