The P22 operates with an external hammer and a double- and single-action trigger. A thumb safety blocks the firing pin, and an additional safety prevents the pistol from firing if dropped. The frame is constructed of polymer with a nonslip cross-directional grip surface; An integral Picatinny rail provides for attaching aftermarket sights and lights. The ambidextrous magazine release is easily reached with the shooter’s thumb. The Walther P22 Semi-Auto Rimfire Pistol comes with 3-dot, low-profile sights that are quick to acquire in a variety of lighting, while interfering minimally when drawing the pistol from a holster or bag. The rear sight is screw adjustable for windage.
