This is a beautiful all-original and minty Dixie Gun Works Pedersoli 1874 Sharps Silouette Rifle chambered in .45-70 Winchester w/ Long Range Tang Sight and a Pedersoli Front globe sight. This Sharps rifle was made specifically for long-range shooting with the venerable .45-70 cartridge. Designed from the original Sharps #1 Sporting rifle, the 1874 Silouette Rifle features the legendary 1874-style Sharps lever-actuated falling block action with a factory drilled and tapped upper tang, a slightly tapered 30″ inch octagon barrel with cut rifling that is .004 deep with 6 lands and grooves, a 1 in 16″ inch twist rate, adjustable double-set triggers, a oil-finished glossy and smooth American Walnut stock set with a pistol grip buttstock with a shotgun-style Neidner buttplate and a 10.5″ inch tapered forearm with schnabel forend, a beautiful high-polish gloss blue finish on the barrel, triggers, and sights, and a really spectacular color case-hardened finish showing lots of beautiful colors on the receiver, breech block, hammer, action lever, buttplate, and lower tang.
