Camillus MC1 US Government issue paratrooper switchblade knife. These knives were made by Camillus for the US Government for approximately 50 years. They were primarily issued to military personnel especially paratroopers. Some were also used by NASA and other government branches. This one measures 4 1/4 inches closed and 7 3/8″ with automatic clip blade open and it has steel liners and brass button and safety with steel lanyard ring. The hook blade is manual and is left open during a jump for quick access in case of parachute emergency, with the knife attached to the jumpsuit by a cord tied to the lanyard ring.
