Gun Collectors Dream Auction #73 Mixed Guns
Lot 486:
Up Next We Have a Nice Steyr straight pull bolt-action rifle M95M Mannlicher M1895, Yugoslavian Steyr M95M. Also referred to an M95/24. In the 1920’s, Yugoslavia had a large collection of non-standard arms that were left over from reparations from WW1 and the Balkan Wars.
They standardized on the FN Mauser M1924 pattern and wanted to convert most of their non-standard arms to be similar.
They had a large stock of Ex-Austro-Hungarian M1895 (to a lesser extent M1888/90) rifles and carbines. They converted these to the standard 7.92x57mm round from 8x50r. They added a new barrel, modified the bolt, magazine and stock.
This Example is Mint and it Does Have the internal magazine clip and extractor.
