The Hatfield SAS uses a unique operating system that blends gas and inertia. With fewer moving parts, this 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun from the Hatfield Gun Company functions more reliably than one that functions through gas or inertia alone. The gas piston moves a single inch, which then kicks the bolt rearward to start the operating cycle, and functions most reliably with most commercial 2.75″ and 3″ magnum shells.
This incredibly affordable shotgun features high strength 7075 aluminum receiver provides long-lasting durability while reducing the overall weight. The stock and forend are made from finished and textured walnut to provide a classic look and feel. The one-inch ventilated rubber recoil pad provides extra comfort and control when firing.
