A vintage fighting knife by Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen, featuring a double-edged, spear-point steel blade, a metal crossguard, and a wooden handle secured by two rivets, with parallel diagonal grooves for an enhanced grip. The blade’s ricasso is marked “GOTTLIEB HAMMESFAHR SOLINGEN.” It is accompanied by its original metal scabbard, which includes a leather belt loop.
Condition report:
Fair to poor condition. The blade exhibits significant surface corrosion, pitting, and dullness. The crossguard and metal scabbard show heavy oxidation. The wooden handle has general wear. The scabbard\'s leather is dry and creased.
