The receiver is clearly marked “REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY ILION, N.Y.” with several patent dates visible, including “MAY 3, 1864” and “MARCH 16, 1874”. The barrel is marked “7 M M – S. M”, indicating its 7mm caliber. This late 19th-century rifle features a dark stained wooden stock and forend, complemented by blued or patinated steel metalwork. It is equipped with a ladder-style rear sight, a blade front sight, a ramrod, and sling swivels.
