Lot 110:
A Group of U.S. M1 Garand En Bloc Clips
Sold for: $170
Description
A group of approximately two dozen U.S. M1 Garand en bloc clips. These uniform, small, rectangular, open-ended clips or holders are crafted from a dark, likely cast iron or heavy-gauge steel, finished with a dull matte black coating. Each piece is hollow and features a curved, C-shaped opening along one long side, indicating a potential clamping or mounting function for cartridges. Many of the broad faces exhibit a distinct raised concentric ring pattern. The objects are utilitarian in style, devoid of any discernible manufacturer’s marks or specific decorative elements.
Condition report:
Overall fair to good condition, showing consistent surface wear, scuffs, accumulated dust, and minor areas of light surface corrosion, consistent with age and practical use.
