A Czechoslovakian Mauser 98 Bayonet with ČSZ Markings, complete with its accompanying leather scabbard. The bayonet features a single-edged, unfullered steel blade with a spear point, a wooden grip secured by two rivets, a steel crossguard with a muzzle ring, and a steel pommel with a lug slot. Visible markings on the blade’s ricasso include “ČSZ” and the Roman numeral “I”, where “ČSZ” translates to Československá zbrojovka (Czechoslovak Arms Factory). The scabbard is constructed from dark brown leather, featuring visible stitching along the edges and a prominent leather frog loop/attachment point.
Condition report:
Both the bayonet and scabbard exhibit significant signs of age and wear. The metal components of the bayonet show heavy pitting, surface rust, and discoloration.
