Antique Remington Rolling Block .32 Rimfire Rifle
Sold for: $375
Description
An antique Remington Rolling Block .32 Rimfire rifle, featuring a heavy octagonal blued steel barrel and a full-length wooden stock, likely walnut. The barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION N.Y.”. The left side of the receiver is stamped with patent dates: “PATENTS MAY 3 1864, MAY 7 JUNE 11, NOV 12 DEC 24, DEC 31 1872, SEPT 9 1873”. An apparent serial number “12348” is present on an underside metal component.
Condition report:
The rifle exhibits significant wear to the blued finish and a developing patina on metal surfaces. Minor surface rust is visible, particularly around screw heads and the hammer. The wooden stock shows numerous scratches, dents, and areas of finish loss, indicative of extensive use and age, but appears structurally sound and complete.
