Description
A pair of vintage leather bags. The first, a medium-brown military-style pouch, features an attached shoulder strap and an oval brass emblem on its front flap with the raised letters “CS”, consistent with Confederate States Civil War era style. The interior flap of this pouch is stamped “RICHMOND”, and it houses a removable, rectangular, multi-compartment tin liner. The second item is a darker brown cylindrical leather bag with a shoulder strap, secured by a buckle-strap flap closure, and notable leather lacing detail on its ends.
Condition report:
Both items exhibit extensive wear consistent with age and use, including scuffs, scratches, creasing, and discoloration to the leather. The tin liner shows significant tarnishing and surface wear.
