Gun Collectors Dream Auction #79 Weapons of War
Lot 1226:
Sold for: $150
Description
A Soviet-era Makarov Pistol leather holster and matching uniform belt. Both pieces are crafted from dark brown leather with visible stitching. The belt features a substantial brass buckle embossed with a five-pointed star containing a hammer and sickle emblem, and a metal adjustment clip. The reverse of the belt bears a faded stamp with Cyrillic text, including “ШИРИННАЯ”, “ИМ. КУЙБЫШЕВА”, and “РОСТ 1”, alongside other less legible characters such as “Р/П” and “ВЧД 8СЧЬ”. The formed leather holster, designed for a semi-automatic pistol, has a brass-riveted closure strap. Its interior flap is stamped “OTK 8 68,” indicating Quality Control and a likely production date of August 1968, alongside “0.3”.
Condition report:
Good, used condition. Both pieces show signs of use, including scuffs, creasing, and minor surface abrasions to the leather, consistent with age and wear. The brass elements exhibit tarnish and some surface wear. All stitching appears intact.
