Sold for: $275
Description
A Russian Mosin Nagant M91/30 bolt-action rifle, constructed with a wooden stock and blued and bright steel components. The receiver is explicitly marked “M91/30 MADE IN RUSSIA” and bears a “1943” date alongside an Izhevsk arsenal stamp (star with arrow). Importer information “C.A.I. GEORGIA VT. 7.62X54R” is present, with the receiver serial number “9138475885.” The bright steel bolt and the black steel buttplate are both stamped with the serial “4454,” which does not match the receiver’s serial number. The rifle is chambered in 7.62x54R.
Condition report:
The rifle is in used, military surplus condition. The wooden stock displays visible wear, numerous scratches, and areas of finish loss, particularly on the forend. Faint, possibly military, cartouches are present on the buttstock. Metal components show expected bluing wear consistent with age and military use. The bolt and buttplate bear non-matching serial numbers.
