n Antique Model M1871 Beaumont bolt action military rifle, dated 1875. note: Rare, original single shot (w/ no box magazine upgrade); adopted by Royal Netherlands East-Indies Army (KNIL) during the Aceh War Constructed with a dark-stained wooden full stock and metal components, including the barrel, receiver, and fittings. The receiver bears the date “1875,” along with numbers”2099,” “859,” and “7023,” and a “C” or similar glyph. It features a ladder-style rear sight with numerical graduations. A cleaning rod is present beneath the barrel. Additional markings include “V 947” on the metal buttplate, a small “367label, and a faint circular inspection stamp on the buttstock.
Condition report:
The item exhibits significant wear consistent with considerable historical use. The wooden stock shows numerous dents, scratches, and discoloration. Metal parts display a dark, oxidized patina with areas of surface rust.
