Sold for: $525
Description
An Argentine Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action carbine, manufactured by Loewe Berlin, chambered in 7.65x53mm. The receiver is clearly marked “MAUSER MODELO ARGENTINO 1891.” and “MANUFACTURA LOEWE BERLIN.” The serial number “B 3182” is visibly stamped on the receiver, barrel, and stock, indicating matching parts. The rifle features a dark-stained wooden stock with a matching handguard, and blued or blackened steel metal components, consistent with a late 19th-century military firearm. A fern-like crest or insignia is visible on the receiver. It is equipped with a detachable box magazine and a metal buttplate.
Condition report:
Used but generally intact condition. The wooden stock exhibits typical wear, scratches, and dings consistent with age and use. Some finish loss is evident on the metal parts, particularly on the detachable box magazine and buttplate. The blued finish on the receiver and barrel shows wear and thinning. The fern-like crest on the receiver is visible but somewhat worn. Mechanical function appears to be intact, though not tested.
