Gun Collectors Dream Auction #79 Weapons of War
Lot 1414:
Sold for: $375
Description
A brown leather pistol holster, often associated with French Lebel Model 1892 or 1873 revolvers, or Japanese Nambu Type 14 or Baby Nambu pistols from the WWI or WWII era. The holster features a molded design with visible stitching and an integrated adjustable shoulder strap. The front flap is secured by a brass-toned twist-lock mechanism. On the interior of the flap, three impressed markings are visible: the Roman numeral “III” and two distinct circular stamps containing stylized symbols. The holster’s reverse side shows a leather belt loop and additional securing straps.
Condition report:
Good, consistent with use and age, exhibiting surface wear, creasing, and some scuffing to the leather. The metal hardware shows light patina.
