Lot 142:
A Collection of Ancient Roman Bronze Coins
Sold for: $75
Description
A collection of nine ancient Roman bronze coins, likely copper alloy, of varying circular and irregular shapes. Faint impressions of design elements, such as busts or figures, are visible on some, but no specific legible text or distinct markings are discernible due to heavy wear and extensive patination. The patination ranges from dark grey and bronze tones to significant green and reddish corrosion. Many exhibit flan irregularities and edge damage.
Condition report:
The overall apparent condition of these coins is poor, with details largely obscured. Heavy wear, extensive patination, and significant green and reddish corrosion are present on all pieces. Many exhibit flan irregularities and edge damage.
