Lot 1490:
A One Pound Package of Vietnam Era US Military Flechettes, Approximately 950 Pieces, Inert
Sold for: $90
Description
This collection comprises a one pound package of Vietnam Era US Military flechettes, approximately 950 pieces, confirmed as inert and for display only. The small, dark-colored metal flechettes are dart-shaped with a pointed tip and a fletched rear, displaying a utilitarian military style. Some flechettes are loose, while others are bundled into small groups with thin, copper-colored thread. The collection is housed within a clear plastic zip-top bag, which bears two informational labels: one identifying the contents as “Vietnam Era Flechettes 1 Lb. AMM-005,” and another specifying “Military Flechettes from US Military One pound package about 950 pcs AMM-005” with an associated barcode and the date “04/09/07.”
Condition report:
The flechettes exhibit a dull, aged, and possibly slightly corroded appearance consistent with surplus military ordnance. They appear to be largely intact within their packaging. The clear plastic zip-top bag shows minor surface wear and creasing.
