Lot 18:
Sold for: $450
Description
A six-shot, dark-finished revolver, identified by butt marking as “U.S. ARMY MODEL 1917 NO 143474”. The barrel is prominently marked “FABRICA DE ITAJUBA” and “REV. 45 M1917”, indicating Brazilian manufacture of a .45 caliber variant. The frame bears the number “24734” and a faint logo resembling the Colt Rampant Colt, suggesting it is based on a Colt M1917 design. The revolver is fitted with white, iridescent “pearly” grips and includes a lanyard ring at the butt. Accompanying the revolver is a black leather holster, stamped with a Smith & Wesson logo and the text “B06 26 LH”, indicating it is a left-hand holster. A metal moon clip is also included.
Condition report:
The revolver is in good apparent condition. It exhibits some finish wear on the hammer, trigger, and cylinder consistent with use. The \"pearly\" grips are intact. The black leather holster shows expected creasing and minor wear.
