Description
A Swiss Model 1918 Bayonet manufactured by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen, accompanied by its scabbard. The bayonet features a double-edged steel blade, steel crossguard and pommel, and two wooden grip panels secured by two rivets. The ricasso of the blade is stamped with “WAFFENFABRIK NEUHAUSEN”, while the crossguard bears the serial number “541645”. A circular mark and a Swiss cross are visible on the pommel. The scabbard is made of black-painted metal, fitted with a worn brown leather frog attached by a single rivet.
Condition report:
Good used condition, showing expected wear, scratches, and finish loss consistent with age and military service. Patination on the metal components. Significant paint loss on the scabbard. Wooden grips show minor dings.
