A WW2 British Army Pattern 1937 (P37) water bottle canteen, featuring a flattened, rectangular body encased in a coarse, brownish-green woven fabric cover. It has a metal neck, topped with a cork stopper and a small, oxidized metal cap, both secured by a natural fiber cord. A faded, woven canvas webbing strap, with a heavily rusted metal clasp, is attached to the side.
Condition report:
The item exhibits considerable wear and age. There is significant discoloration and white residue on the fabric cover. All metal parts, including the neck, cap, and strap clasp, show prominent rust and oxidation. The woven canvas webbing strap is faded and heavily rusted at the clasp. General signs of heavy use are evident throughout. Overall fair to poor condition.
