Gun Collectors Dream Auction #79 Weapons of War
Lot 325:
Sold for: $60
Description
A collection of five US WWI military utility items, primarily crafted from canvas and leather. The lot includes a tan/khaki canvas holster, visually consistent with a U.S. WWI M-1911 pistol holster, featuring a brass-toned stud closure. Also present is a dark green canvas pouch or case with multiple snap closures, likely for military equipment. The collection further comprises a small rectangular dark brown/black leather case with a strap closure, and two distinct brown leather straps or belts, both featuring numerous punched holes for adjustment and various metal buckles and fittings. The items exhibit signs of age and use.
Condition report:
The items are in fair to good vintage condition, consistent with their age and intended utility. They exhibit general wear, surface abrasions, and some discoloration to both canvas and leather components. Stitching appears largely intact, though minor fraying may be present. Metal fittings show patination and some surface oxidation. No major tears or structural damage are immediately apparent, but signs of active use are evident across the lot.
