Description

An Italian WW1 Shortened Bayonet and its accompanying scabbard, manufactured in Brescia. The bayonet features a single-edged, fullered steel blade, a steel hilt with a crossguard incorporating a muzzle ring, a dark wooden grip held by two rivets, and apommel with a locking mechanism. Visible markings on the crossguard include the stamped serial number “B.G. 7048” and the manufacturer’s location “Brescia”. The scabbard consists of a dark, worn leather body fitted with a brass throat and a steel drag.

Condition report:

Both the bayonet and scabbard exhibit significant wear, including surface scratches, darkening, and oxidation to the metal components, and scuffing to the wooden grip and leather scabbard, indicative of age and use. They appear structurally complete.
