Description
A Japanese Type 26 9mm Nambu Revolver, a vintage break-open firearm constructed primarily of blued steel, featuring textured dark wooden grips and a lanyard loop at the base of the grip. The left side of the frame displays a stylized emblem above the kanji characters “二十六年式” (Nijūrokunen Shiki), which translates to “Type 26 Year” (referring to the 26th year of the Meiji era, 1893), followed by the serial number “41718”. An additional number, “1333”, is visible on a sub-assembly when the action is open. The revolver features a six-shot cylinder and the overall mechanism appears complete.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces exhibit significant wear, including extensive finish loss, scuffs, and patination consistent with age and use. The wooden grips show handling wear but remain intact. The mechanism appears complete.
