Description
A World War II era U.S. military issue canvas protective cover for a Thompson Submachine Gun, Cal. .45, bearing the stenciled alphanumeric code D 50268. This olive drab green canvas cover is shaped to fit the firearm, constructed from heavy-duty canvas fabric. It features tan leather securing straps with metal snaps and a metal zipper running along its perimeter. Clearly stenciled in black on the exterior are the markings: “COVER”, “THOMPSON SUB MACHINE GUN CAL. .45”, and “D 50268”.
