Description
A Yugoslavian M48 Mauser bayonet, manufactured by Preduzece 44 in 1944, complete with its matching metal scabbard and leather frog. The bayonet features a dark-finished steel blade with a single fuller, a dark metal crossguard, and a dark metal pommel, fitted with two reddish-brown wooden grip scales secured by two rivets. The blade’s ricasso is stamped with the Cyrillic text “ТРЕДИЦЕБ” (TREDITSEB) above the numerals “44.” The crossguard bears the number “2199.” The scabbard is constructed from dark-finished metal and is housed within a dark brown leather frog, which shows a stitched triangular outline on its strap and retains a metal stud closure. The scabbard’s metal throat piece is also stamped with the number “2199,” indicating matching serial numbers between the bayonet and scabbard.
Condition report:
Good, used condition. Typical surface wear, scuffs, and patination to metal components. The leather frog shows creasing and minor wear consistent with age and use.
