Description
A Swedish Carl Gustafs Stads M1894 Carbine, manufactured in 1904. This bolt-action military rifle is primarily constructed of a polished wooden stock and blued steel components, complemented by some bright metal elements. The receiver is clearly marked “CARL GUSTAFS STADS GEVÄRSFAKTORI. 1904.”, accompanied by a crown emblem and the serial number “KB. 36783”. The numbers “783” are consistently present on the bolt, barrel band, and front sight housing, indicating matching components. The buttstock features a brass disc marked “I. 8 N° 2186” and a metal information plate titled “K m/94” (K model 1894), detailing “Sikte för trubbkula” (Sight for blunt bullet) and “Skjutning med spetskula.” (Shooting with pointed bullet), alongside a table of “Avstånd” (Distance) and “Sikte/Rp” values. A leather strap with a brass buckle is also affixed to the buttstock. The rifle is chambered in the characteristic 6.5x55mm Swedish Mauser caliber.
