A Bellmore Johnson Tool Co. (BTJ) DA Double-Barrel Derringer Pistol, chambered in .38 Special. This compact, modern-style pistol, likely from the late 20th century, features a brushed silver-toned metal finish, possibly stainless steel, with dark, checkered wooden grip panels. Visible markings include “.38 SP. CAL.”, “DA” as the model, and “BTJ HAMDEN, CT. U.S.A.”, along with the serial number “005320”. A small red indicator is present near the safety mechanism. The pistol is accompanied by its original manufacturer’s box, an “OWNERS MANUAL” confirming “THE DA by BJT”, and a distressed brown leather holster. Research indicates this model was manufactured by BTJ, with some examples noted as a 1985 production, and features approximately 3-inch barrels.
Condition report:
The pistol is in excellent, near-new condition with minimal signs of handling or wear. The metal finish is well-preserved, and the wooden grip panels are intact. The original manufacturer\'s box shows minor shelf wear. The owner\'s manual is complete with light creasing. The accompanying leather holster exhibits a distressed appearance consistent with its material and age.
