A Stevens Marksman .22 Long Rifle Single Shot Rifle. This is a single-shot, lever-action rifle constructed of blued steel with a plain hardwood stock and forend, and a black checkered buttplate. Visible markings include “J. STEVENS ARMS COMPANY,” “CHICOPEE FALLS. MASS. U.S.A.,” “MARKSMAN,” and “TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.” on the receiver, with “22-LONG RIFLE” stamped on the barrel and the number “226” visible on the underside of the tang.
Condition report:
The firearm presents with significant signs of age and use, characterized by extensive finish loss and surface oxidation/pitting on the metal components, along with numerous scratches, dents, and wear to the wooden stock and forend.
