Description
A J.C. Higgins Model 101.7 side-by-side double-barrel shotgun, manufactured for Sears, Roebuck & Company, identified as a rebranded Stevens Model 311A. This break-action shotgun features blued steel barrels, a case-hardened receiver, and a wooden stock and forend fitted with a black rubber buttpad. Visible markings on the receiver include “J. C. HIGGINS – MODEL 101.7” and “SEARS, ROEBUCK & COMPANY”. The barrels are marked “SELECTED FORGED STEEL,” “PROOF TESTED .410 BORE,” and “3 INCH CHAMBER.”
Condition report:
