Description
A blued steel firearm barrel by Marlin Fire-Arms Co. Marked ‘MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO., NEW-HAVEN, CT, U.S.A.’ and with patent dates ‘PAT’D OCT. 11. 1887 APRIL 2. 1889 AUG. 7. 1893.’ The caliber ’38-40′ is stamped near the threaded breach end. This 24″ barrel features a dovetailed front sight and a threaded breach end. Inventory tag number 5632 is attached.
Condition report:
The overall condition shows moderate wear with surface scratches, scuffs, and areas of bluing loss consistent with age and use. The barrel appears structurally sound.
