A vintage leather ‘Leg of Mutton’ shotgun case, crafted from heavily textured, dark brown leather that shows extensive surface abrasion, revealing a lighter reddish-orange layer beneath. The design features a contoured form to accommodate a firearm, a rounded flap closure secured by a tan leather strap with a silver-toned metal buckle, and multiple leather straps with metal D-rings along the top edge, suggesting a provision for a carrying handle or shoulder sling. Faint, illegible markings are present near the narrower, muzzle-end of the case.
