Description
A Bear & Son fixed-blade Bowie-style knife and associated leather sheath. The knife features a polished metal clip-point blade secured by a brass guard. The handle is fitted with off-white scales, likely bone or synthetic material, attached via two brass pins. The associated medium brown leather sheath is stitched along the edges and features a retention strap secured by a metal snap. The manufacturer’s name, BEAR & SON, is visibly impressed into the leather body of the sheath.
Condition report:
The powder measure assembly shows visible signs of use consistent with reloading tools of this vintage. The textured green paint on the cast body exhibits chipping and scratches, particularly around the mounting points and central cylinder. The main metering cylinder shows surface wear and scratches from operation. Minor surface oxidation and patina are present on some of the threaded steel components, including the adjustment screw and the drop insert. The translucent green hopper is intact but shows minor scuffing. The original packaging box is heavily worn, creased, and torn. The instruction manual is present and legible. We have not function-tested this measure with powder. It is the buyer\'s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
