Description
A manually operated progressive shotshell reloading press, identified as the MEC Model 650, manufactured by Mayville Engineering Co., Inc. The press is configured for 12 gauge reloading, consistent with the user-provided keywords and the handwritten load notation of 1 1/8 oz. visible on the die carrier assembly. The structure features a heavy red cast metal frame and base, with bright chrome or nickel-plated operating shafts and dies. The press is equipped with two MEC hoppers for powder and shot, one gold/yellow and one gray/clear, both labeled MEC Shell Reloading Tools. The base label confirms the manufacturer and model, bearing the full serial number 184149, and Patent Numbers 3,105,405 and 3,157,086. This progressive press is designed to perform multiple reloading stages simultaneously.
Condition report:
The metal components retain a high percentage of their original polished blue finish, showing moderate wear consistent with age and field use, primarily exhibiting scattered handling marks and light scratches on the barrel and receiver flats. The wood furniture shows numerous minor scratches, dings, and finish wear, particularly on the buttstock, including minor residue or remnants of a sticker/tape visible on the right side. The action appears to function correctly when manually cycled. The bore is bright with no visible pitting. We have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. It is the buyer\'s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
