Lot 1099:
A Lot of 71 Vintage .25 Remington Empty Brass Casings and Four Original Ammunition Boxes
Sold for: $110
Description
A substantial lot consisting of 71 total items, including empty brass casings suitable for reloading, and four vintage boxes of ammunition packaging for the .25 Remington caliber. The lot contains three original Remington Kleanbore Express boxes, marked 4725, advertising 20 Center Fire Smokeless Cartridges with 117 Grain Soft Point Core-Lokt bullets. Also included is one Winchester Super-X box for 20 Centerfire Rifle Cartridges, featuring handwritten notes indicating 25 Rem 117 gr Bullet. The majority of the visible brass components feature the correct REM 25 REM headstamps. This collection of empty brass casings for reloading is highly sought after by enthusiasts of classic lever-action and pump-action rifles chambered in the obsolescent .25 Remington caliber.
Condition report:
The pistol is in used, moderate condition, retaining the majority of its matte black finish, consistent with a used firearm. There is moderate wear, scuffing, and finish loss visible on the slide flats, particularly near the muzzle and ejection port, and some minor red residue or staining is present near the trigger guard. The checkered black polymer grips show accumulation of dirt and debris but are structurally sound. The bores of both the fitted 9mm barrel and the spare .22 TCM barrel appear bright with defined rifling. The action appears to function correctly when cycled manually, including the grip safety and thumb safety mechanisms. We have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. It is the buyer\'s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
