Lot 1114:
A Collection of 15 Vintage Hunting Decoys including Rex Collapsible Goose and Hard Plastic Duck Figures
Sold for: $40
Description
A substantial collection of 15 vintage hunting decoys, primarily dating from the mid-20th century, comprising two distinct types. The lot includes six large, collapsible Canada Goose decoys constructed of a flexible, rubberized material, likely canvas or similar composition, painted in black, white, and brown. One of these goose decoys features a visible manufacturer stamp reading REX DUCK AND GOOSE DECOYS MORRILL, NEBR. PAT NO. 281682A, identifying them as products from the Morrill, Nebraska manufacturer. The remaining nine decoys are molded hard plastic figures depicting various duck species, including Pintail and Wigeon types, rendered in weathered tones suitable for field use. These molded duck decoys feature detailed feather texturing and realistic paint schemes, characteristic of mid-century mass-produced hunting equipment.
Condition report:
The firearm is in good used condition, retaining approximately 90% of its matte black finish. There are minor handling marks, scuffs, and light abrasions visible primarily on the polymer furniture, the aluminum forend, and the receiver, consistent with light to moderate use. The rubber recoil pad shows some wear and dust accumulation. The bore condition is not assessed but appears clean from the muzzle. The action appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. We have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. It is the buyer\'s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
