The brass guard and pommel cap exhibit notable tarnish and dark patina, which is common for brass fittings of this age. The wooden handle is in good condition with minor handling marks but no significant cracks or chips. The accompanying leather sheath shows moderate wear, scuffing, discoloration, and creasing indicative of age and field use, but the stitching remains intact.
