Description
A vintage Dem-Bart Bill McGuire Special Gun Stock Checkering Tool Kit, established 1945. This collection consists of 15 items housed in the original manufacturer’s cardboard box, marketed as Tools for the Exacting Gun Craftsman. The set includes eight handled checkering tools, each constructed with a light-colored wooden handle, a metal ferrule, and a blackened steel shank. The box also contains seven distinct paper envelopes or packets of replacement cutters. Visible labels on the cutter packets include numbers 4-20, 4-18, B-1, and F-1, all bearing the Dem-Bart Checkering Tools, Inc. address in Snohomish, WA.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in excellent, unfired condition. The brass casings are clean and bright, showing no signs of corrosion, tarnish, or damage. The copper-jacketed projectiles are intact. The factory cardboard boxes are generally crisp and well-preserved, consistent with new-old-stock inventory.
