Gun Collectors Dream Auction #81 January 31st & Feb 1st
Lot 1276:
Sold for: $60
Description
This lot consists of 1000 Federal Champion No. 100 Small Pistol Primers. The primers are packaged in the original Federal dark blue box, consistent with current production reloading components. The box is clearly marked FEDERAL, CHAMPION, SMALL PISTOL PRIMERS, and NO. 100. The quantity of 1000 primers is confirmed by the box markings and user-provided facts. Image three shows the box alongside an inner plastic tray designed to hold 100 primers, confirming the type and size of the components. These primers are designed for use in reloading centerfire pistol cartridges requiring small pistol primers. The box is marked MADE IN THE USA. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws regarding the purchase and possession of reloading components.
Condition report:
The firearm is in heavily used and worn condition consistent with age and field use. The metal surfaces of the barrel and receiver exhibit significant finish loss; the barrel is largely \'in the white\' with heavy gray patina, scratching, and scattered surface oxidation. The receiver retains traces of a dark, worn finish, showing general thinning and handling marks. The wooden buttstock and forend show substantial cosmetic wear, including numerous scratches, dings, and pressure marks throughout. The buttstock is missing a traditional buttplate, exposing the bare wood end with a central attachment screw/plug visible. The exposed hammer action appears to function correctly when cycled, though we have not function-tested this firearm for safety or reliability. The bore is dark and shows signs of wear and potentially light pitting, typical for a shotgun of this vintage. It is the buyer\'s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
