Gun Collectors Dream Auction #81 January 31st & Feb 1st
Lot 128:
Sold for: $45
Description
The lot consists of two modern fixed-blade utility knives, each with a fitted nylon sheath, for a total of two items. The first knife is a tactical-style fixed blade featuring a black-coated, partially serrated drop point blade and a black textured polymer grip. Visible markings include the Walther emblem on the ricasso and the country of origin CHINA stamped on the guard. It is housed in a plain black nylon sheath with a snap closure. The second knife is a hunting/utility fixed blade featuring a stainless steel clip point profile and a black checkered polymer grip. Markings visible on the ricasso include COLT SINCE 1836, CT 20, and 420J2 STAINLESS. This knife is accompanied by a black nylon sheath bearing the Colt logo. These items are classified as edged weapons and are not firearms.
Condition: Overall used condition consistent with field use and handling. The Walther-branded knife shows significant finish loss and scratching across the black blade coating, particularly near the edge and tip. The polymer grip shows minor scuffs. The Colt CT 20 knife exhibits scratching on the stainless blade flats. There is visible surface corrosion, specifically light rust, present on the stainless steel guard and adjacent areas of the blade ricasso. The checkered polymer grip is intact but shows signs of handling wear. Both black nylon sheaths are dirty, stained, and show wear consistent with use, but remain structurally sound with functional snaps and belt loops.
