Lot 1315:
A Lot of 200 Rounds of Mixed .45 AUTO Ammunition by Winchester and Speer
Sold for: $85
Description
This lot comprises 200 total cartridges of mixed manufacturer and type, all chambered in .45 AUTO (Automatic Colt Pistol). The lot is divided into four distinct groups of 50 rounds each. The first group is contained in a white Winchester box marked “.45 AUTO 230 GRAIN FULL METAL JACKET TARGET.” The second group is contained in a plain brown box marked “50 CARTRIDGES CALIBER .45 AUTO BALL M1911,” suggesting military or commercial ball specifications. The third group of 50 rounds is packaged in a blue plastic tray; these cartridges feature nickel-plated cases with “SPEER 45 AUTO” headstamps and appear to be jacketed hollow point or soft point defensive ammunition. The fourth group of 50 rounds is contained in a white insert tray; these feature brass cases with “W M A 45 AUTO” headstamps, consistent with Winchester Military Ammunition full metal jacket rounds. All ammunition appears to be factory loaded.
Condition report:
The pistol is in fair to poor cosmetic condition due to heavy finish wear and significant corrosion primarily affecting the metallic slide assembly. The slide retains approximately 40% of its original mottled black finish, with widespread superficial pitting, oxidation, and corrosion evident across the top edges, forward serrations, and flat surfaces. This damage suggests prolonged exposure to moisture or lack of proper maintenance. The polymer frame remains in very good condition with aggressive texturing intact, showing only minor handling marks and light surface dirt. The included magazines show moderate wear and handling marks but appear structurally sound. The action appears to function correctly when cycled manually, and the manual safety engages and disengages. We have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition, and the bore condition is unknown. It is the buyer\'s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
