Description
This lot consists of 500 rounds of Hornady Varmint Express ammunition chambered in .17 Hornady Magnum Rimfire (.17 HMR). The ammunition utilizes 20 grain XTP (Extreme Terminal Performance) projectiles, designed for high-velocity varmint hunting and target shooting. The cartridges are factory loaded with brass casings and copper-colored jacketed projectiles. The ammunition is housed in its original factory packaging, consisting of a large outer cardboard case containing ten smaller, individually labeled plastic containers. The outer box is marked Hornady, Accurate. Deadly. Dependable., 17 HMR, Varmint Express, and 20 GR. XTP. This is a factory case lot containing 500 rounds. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws regarding the purchase and possession of ammunition.
Condition report:
Fair to Poor overall condition, showing extensive use and wear. The original black finish is heavily degraded, exhibiting numerous scratches, scuffs, and significant finish loss, particularly on the sharp edges of the frame, the muzzle, and the trigger guard. The metal alloy beneath the finish is visible in many areas. The grips are heavily compromised by the application of thick, crinkled orange/tan tape, which is worn and peeling. The action appears to function correctly in both single and double action modes, but we have not function-tested this device with ammunition.
